MERRY CHRISTMAS LAS CRUCES!

Welcome to Christmas in Cruces 2009! You may notice that this year's display is very similar to last year. Due to medical issues, we were not able to change the display too much. We do have plans for a big change next year though. To view pictures and videos, learn what it takes to make this happen, and other related facts, please click on the buttons to the left.

A special appearance by Santa on Friday Dec 18th. He will be back on the 19th at 8pm!

The display has 144 channels of computer controlled animation! In addition, there are more than 65,000 lights dancing to 14 songs.

A very special "Thank You" goes to the adult leaders of Cub Scout Pack 179 as well as the Boy Scouts of Troop 179 for all the help in setting up the display. Without their help, the display would not have been possible this year.

The donation box is back! We are again accepting donations for the Las Cruces Cub Scouts Pack 179. They were a major contributor in the setup of the display this year. 100% of all donations will be given to our local Cub Scouts at the end of the season to help fund their activities such as camping, field trips, and other outings. Last year we collected over $500 and that money went a long way for our scouts. You can click here to see how much money has been collected so far this year. Please help us support our local scouts and the great things they do for our youth.

Every Friday and Saturday evening between 6:00 and 8:00 we will be outside to answer any questions. In addition, the Cub Scouts will be passing out free candy canes to the kids. Feel free to come up and talk to us, we would love to hear what you think of the display.

When the display is not running, you can still enjoy the sounds of Christmas in Cruces. We broadcast Christmas music 24 hours/day on 95.9 fm. The music will stop just prior to display runtime and start back up as soon as the display is finished. If you do not live in the local neighborhood, you can still listen online. Click on the Christmas Radio button to the left for live steaming audio.

We now have a live video camera of the display. Click on the Live Webcam button to the left to see the display live!

Please sign our guestbook, we would love to hear what you think of the display.

BE SURE TO TUNE YOUR CAR RADIO TO

95.9 FM

If your car radio supports RDS, you will notice song titles and artists as well as other messages scroll across your radio display!

We want you to enjoy the show, but ask that you respect a few rules for everyone's enjoyment.

1. Please do not block our neighbor's driveways or use them to turn around. We have a great community and want to keep everyone happy.

2. When parked, please turn off your headlights. If you would like, keep your parking lights on so other cars can see you. Headlights are very distracting to other viewers.

3. Please keep your radio down to a respectable level. We are using FM radio to keep the noise down.

4. When parking, be aware of other viewers. There is plenty of parking on the other side of Jornada. Parking in front of our house is discouraged as it blocks the view of others.

5. If you would like to donate, please use the donation box at the front of the display. Under no circumstances should you enter the display area. There is an extremely large amount of extension cords, cables, wires, stakes, and high voltage controllers througout the entire display. These things are very hard to see at night and can be very dangerous.

6. If you decide to get out of your vehicle, please be careful of other traffic. Jornada can become a busy street and it is very dark in this area. Please watch your children.

7. Most importantly, have fun and enjoy the display. We wish all of you a very Merry Christmas!
