MERRY CHRISTMAS LAS CRUCES!

Why is there not a display in 2011?

Our family has relocated from Las Cruces to northern CA. We have had a lot of fun with the display over the last four years. We are so happy that we were a part of so many people's holiday and that we had become a tradition for some. We are very sad that we are no longer there and able to put up the display. Thank you Las Cruces for the 4 wonderful years we had and we thank everyone for the generous donations to the Cub Scouts.

We aren't even doing a display at our new place this year, but maybe next year! In the meantime, the videos of past years will still be available to watch.

Merry Christmas!

A special appearance by Santa last year. You never know, he may make an appearance again this year!

The display has 144 channels of computer controlled animation! In addition, there are more than 65,000 lights dancing to 14 songs.

A very special "Thank You" goes to the adult leaders and Scouts of Boy Scout Troop 179 for all the help in setting up the display. Without their help, the display would not have been possible this year.

The donation box is back! We are again accepting donations for the Las Cruces Cub Scouts Pack 179. They were a major contributor in the setup of the display this year. 100% of all donations will be given to our local Cub Scouts at the end of the season to help fund their activities such as camping, field trips, and other outings. Last year we collected almost $500 and that money went a long way for our scouts. You can click here to see how much money has been collected so far this year. Please help us support our local scouts and the great things they do for our youth and community.

Every Friday and Saturday evening between 6:00 and 8:00 we will be outside to answer any questions. In addition, the Cub Scouts will be passing out free candy canes to the kids. Feel free to come up and talk to us, we would love to hear what you think of the display.

When the display is not running, you can still enjoy the sounds of Christmas in Cruces. We broadcast Christmas music 24 hours/day on 95.9 fm. The music will stop just prior to display runtime and start back up as soon as the display is finished. The "Live webcam" and "Christmas Radio" links should be working soon, check back soon.

We now have a live video camera of the display. Click on the Live Webcam button to the left to see the display live!

Please sign our guestbook, we would love to hear what you think of the display.

BE SURE TO TUNE YOUR CAR RADIO TO

95.9 FM

If your car radio supports RDS, you will notice song titles and artists as well as other messages scroll across your radio display!

We want you to enjoy the show, but ask that you respect a few rules for everyone's enjoyment.

1. Please do not block our neighbor's driveways or use them to turn around. We have a great community and want to keep everyone happy.

2. When parked, please turn off your headlights. If you would like, keep your parking lights on so other cars can see you. Headlights are very distracting to other viewers.

3. Please keep your radio down to a respectable level. We are using FM radio to keep the noise down.

4. When parking, be aware of other viewers. There is plenty of parking on the other side of Jornada. Parking in front of our house is discouraged as it blocks the view of others.

5. If you would like to donate, please use the donation box at the front of the display. Under no circumstances should you enter the display area. There is an extremely large amount of extension cords, cables, wires, stakes, and high voltage controllers througout the entire display. These things are very hard to see at night and can be very dangerous.

6. If you decide to get out of your vehicle, please be careful of other traffic. Jornada can become a busy street and it is very dark in this area. Please watch your children.

7. Most importantly, have fun and enjoy the display. We wish all of you a very Merry Christmas!
